Our Corporate Social Responsibility CSR

INVESTING IN NIGERIA'S GLOBAL TALENT

At Forestgold Resources, we view our role as a vital link between Nigerian quality and the global marketplace. We believe that sustaining this connection requires a fundamental investment in the future leaders and entrepreneurs of our nation.

To formalize this commitment, we have established the Forestgold Future of Trade Fund—a cornerstone corporate social responsibility initiative focused on empowering youth:

We are committed to dedicating 2% of our annual net profits to support the established, high-impact programs of Junior Achievement Nigeria (JAN).

JAN is a recognized leader in non-profit education, focused on equipping young Nigerians with essential skills in entrepreneurship, work readiness, and financial literacy.

By strategically funding JAN, Forestgold Resources ensures that as our trade volume grows, we are actively cultivating the next generation of Nigerian talent—the conscientious business leaders who will secure Nigeria's long-term success in the global economy.

2. Core Social & Labour Standards

We require all partners in our supply chain to adhere to the following principles, which align with Nigerian law and international labor standards:

Standard Commitment of Forestgold Resources

No Child or Forced Labor We maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward any form of forced, bonded, or involuntary labor, and will not engage with suppliers who employ children under the legal minimum working age (16 years in Nigeria) or an age where compulsory education is still required.

Fair Wages & Timely Payment We commit to paying a fair, market-competitive price for all sourced goods. We guarantee timely and transparent payment to our sourcing communities, ensuring financial stability and eliminating abusive lending practices.

Non-Discrimination We will not tolerate discrimination in hiring, compensation, or treatment based on gender, age, religion, ethnicity, political opinion, or any other status protected by law.

Health and Safety Suppliers must provide and maintain a safe and hygienic working environment, adhering to all local laws to minimize hazards associated with production and handling.

Waste Management: We require proper disposal of all waste and strongly encourage the recycling and responsible management of product packaging materials.

Sustainable Practices: We encourage the use of environmentally friendly techniques that promote soil health and minimize the use of harmful chemicals in production.

4. Policy Implementation & Assurance

Communication: This policy will be communicated clearly and effectively to all our primary sourcing partners.

Monitoring: Forestgold Resources reserves the right to make unannounced visits to our sourcing communities to verify adherence to these standards.

Consequence: Any material or continuous breach of this policy will result in immediate review and potential termination of our trading relationship.
